Terracotta floors
Terracotta is suitable for the creation of tiles for floors, walls, arcades, decorative coverings and finishings.
The characteristics of this material are its naturalness, warmth, the elegance of fired clay, which makes it suitable for any flooring and furnishing in which one wants to create a union between respect for the environment and stylistic pursuit.
For these characteristics, the terracotta floors are particularly suggested for restoration works and for the enhancement of older, traditional interiors.
Terracotta has many ornamental uses, being available in various versions in terms of color, type of craftsmanship and surface (smooth opaque, rustic, classic polish, sharpened).
Terracotta floors can be made of clay tiles entirely made by hand according to the ancient tradition.
In
this type of flooring, the clay is kneaded by hand and sun dried in
the cast.
After the drying process, the clay is fired in a wood oven.
This process gives the clay tiles the characteristic dark color with tones which range from red to yellow.
