intrusive igneous rock: intrusive igneous rocks are the result of crystallisation of magma within the earth's crust. Usually, due to the slow cooling process, internally these rocks are composed of large crystals also called phenocrystals laid out within a paste with crsytals with a more or less thick bottom. Granite is an example of intrusive igneous rock.
iron oxide: basic chemical compound formed by oxygen with iron which combining with water gives origin to the basis. Tin oxide is used in the production of ceramics.
kaolin: rock used to produce porcelain and ceramics composed primarily of kaolinite and other minerals of its group.
laminate floor: floors in laminate are obtained by the lamination of different metal or plastic materials. The floors in laminate are commercial products produced by joining two or more thin layers of various materials.
lapped surface: synonym of "satined" surface this technique is performed for example in the tiles of ceramic products like stoneware for walls or artistic floors.
