laying floors: act of laying a floor. Laying is the last stage which the finished product undergoes to be able to access and use the floor.

lime: mud, slime, water mixed with slime which can constitute an impurity in rocks like marble.

living environment: habitable, livable space of a building.

majolica: majolica is a porous paste ceramic product, coloured, covered in a transparent vitreous (varnish) or opaque (stanniferous enamel) material. The covering is realized with a bath, after the first cooking, which covers the underlying colour giving the majolica a white cover. Later, after the necessary cooking to consolidate the material, it is decorated.

malleability: feature of some materials like metals and ceramics to be modelled without breaking or cracking. The malleable materials can take on the shape and consistency (if mixed to other materials) desired.
