Glass mosaic and resin mosaic
Mosaics can be made using tesserae made of glass or special glassy resins.
The glassy resins are made of mixtures which make the mosaic tesserae very similar to those made from glass in terms of brilliance and transparency.
As far as the durability, the resin tesserae boast a greater resistance compared to glass, which is known for its fragility.
